Your Very Own Pillow baby….(giveaway!)

One of the highlights of the weekend was attending the Playtime New York trade show! Definitely a delight! The most unique, most stylish, up-and-coming designers all showcase their new collections here….aaahhhhhh…

One of Hoolaboola’s favorites that we have been watching closely was also there. Wooly Boo is one of the few – if not only – sophisticated crib-size basic bedding brands that is  made of natural materials.

They offer crib mattress pads, crib bumper pads, toddler pillows, toddler comforters, and infant sleep sacks from 100% organic wool filler and 100% natural cotton ticking.

Wool is important, as I too have learned, because it helps regulate your child’s temperature, resulting in a comfortable nights’ sleep. It also whisks away moisture, keeping allergens and bacteria away. All good things right!?

Selma and her mother, Vahida, created the line when Selma was pregnant with her first child and couldn’t find basic, natural bedding for her baby’s crib. She (luckily for us) decided to take things into her own hands and viola!

We love it that she has created something so precious, so basic yet so needed!

Giveaway Alert: One more reason to love! Wooly Boo is offering an amazing giveaway to our readers! We will chose a comment by random to win your very own toddler pillow (retail value of $50). Please comment below – let us know what you would like to see next in Wooly Boos line to win! Give Wooly Boo some ideas to expand her empire! Winner will be picked on March 16th 9:00am!

I am just in the look for a duvet set or sack with a pillow for my 2and ahalf year old. One thing I can’t find anywhere is the cot bumper for that age. We have a cot turn bed and we are at the stage now where we have taken the front rails out but have kept the ones at the back. The bed is at the lowest position and the ordinary bumpers are too sort for the rails. It’s pretty cold during the night and I have ended up putting two bumpers one on top of the other to keep the draft away. Does all this make sense? If not send me an e-mail and I ll explain. Anyway, hope to win the pillow!!!
    Keep up the good work!
    thank you girls!

Gaitanaki, how cold is it in your house? It is actually recommended that for good sleep the temperature has to be low, and that bumpers prevent a healthy circulation of clean air. Check out the latest research on that.

Hi gaitanaki! We are looking into organic, stylish duvet covers at the moment – will fill you in when we are done with our discovery phase!! But about the draft, I know exactly what you are talking about! I lived in the draftiest old home in the world two years ago – it was a nightmare! I placed a radiator on low in one area, kept only one cot bumper (because toddler is low anyway) and put layers on my child under a good sleeper.
Will let you know about duvet covers soon…
Thanks for your comment – much appreciated!
