Lettie is using organic, fair trade cotton, eco-fi felt (made from waste plastic bottles) and leather scraps. All her motifs are hand cut, and finished with hand stitching.

Laura Anne Marsden, the owner of Lettie Belle is a talented textile designer  and also the loveliest person as I met her recently at the Bubble London! Her little story goes like this: After her first child in 2009, friends encouraged her to launch the company as all her products were lovely! Lucky us!

Products include cushions, prints, brooches, bags and play felt sets. You can have a bespoke cushion with the name / motif you like ! Simply adorable!

Founder and fellow mom, Anne Marie, handpicks clothes, toys and decor for all our little one’s needs. Her online shop, Little Choux (‘darling’ in French) has a wonderful section named, “Imaginative Play” with unique non-plastic toys.

Another greatly needed section is Gifts Under $25…and of course the Decor sector for lovely nurseries!

We also love their funky bags that are promoted towards boys (finally!) that are great for the male tweens in your life!

Walton Street is situated in Knightsbridge, London and has some of the best shops in town!

One of them is dragons of walton street which is full of hand painted unique objects and furniture. I simply fell in love with it and I had no other choice than presenting it to you too!

You’ll love it! It has to be one of the most classical shops in the world! Simply adorable!

One of them is Bramble Corner where you will find traditional toys, gifts and games for children of all ages, and where parents will remember such classic toys and games from their own childhood.

You will find it in the heart of Sussex where you will be pleasantly surprised by their great selection of wooden toys, deluxe ride-on bikes, trikes and toys, dress up costumes, retro toys, educational toys and games and outdoor toys for kids.

Bramble Corner has featured in many english magazines and was quoted in Country Living magazine to be “The Magic Toyshop”. It also recently featured in The Financial Times and will also be used in this years new film The Nutcracker (In 3D)!

Therefore, we discovered good things for kids that has an extraordinary collection of toys for all ages and interests! !

Our little explorers, musicians, artists etc. will fall in love with each and every pick Santa will make for them as a gift! We particularly loved the DIY series that can transform these games to a fully personalised game! Simply adorable!

One of the new products that intrigued us was Oshi Mat. A mom in search for a safe alternative to dirty blankets on baby classes came up with this brilliant solution!

One thing that does need advance notice is finding a great advent calendar. Finding one that isn’t an eyesore to grown ups but still fun and playful enough to appeal to children is a task worth a couple of weeks….

It has an amazing section focusing on nurseries and gifts for kids that is not to be missed!

They actually source and celebrate raw and rare new talents from all over the world. We are impressed by their stuff! Really! Have a look:

Although there were an abundance of vendors and hundreds of pregnant women at the Metropolitan Pavilion, there seemed to be such organization and efficiency that you didn’t feel overwhelmed or crowded. There was yummy comfort food by Big Daddy, cupcakes galore by Bill’s Bar and Burger, dairy-free ice cream by  Soft Serve Fruit Co. and refreshments from numerous delicious companies! As you can imagine, it was a room full of pregnant women munching all night long!

After many hours of chomping and browsing, everyone left with huge gift bags stocked with samples and goodies from all the vendors present at the event and then some! And it seemed that everyone left with a Diaper Geanie in hand too and at least one major gift/prize (i.e. stroller, crib, highchair – no, sadly, not me….)! And the best thing of all was that every single woman (and some men) seemed utterly content and smiling throughout the whole evening! Congratulations Big City Moms!

There were a couple of vendors who stood out to me, primarily because it was the first time meeting them face-to-face so during the next few posts I will feature them separately.

The first was the beautiful Finn + Emma….

A clothing company that is as beautiful as is eco-friendly! They use 100% organic cotton and eco friendly dyes on their clothing and natural wood for their toys.  And soon they will also have an online registry for the hopefuls…(not soon enough for me though…).  As of today they sell in stores in US and Canada (check websites for retailers) but you can always buy online – anytime, anywhere!
